Quilting to me:

"In this crazy fast and furious world we live in I believe it is our responsibility to take time for ourselves, even if it is once a week or month. Doing what you love is one way slow the craziness down. I like to think I'm doing what I love."

Heart of Your Stash

This project can be made with those many scraps we all
have in our stashes.  Hope you enjoy this small one block quilt.
Can also be made with other blocks or multiple Heart blocks
to make a larger quilt of whatever size.
Enjoy!

12" x 12"
Small Heart Quilt

You will need:
2 different printed squares  3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
4 solid squares  1 1/4" x 1 1/4"
2 different printed squares  4" x 4"
2 solid squares  4" x 4"

Make 1 half square triangle using the 4' x 4" squares.
you will need one of each of the prints.
Trim squares to  3 1/2" x 3 1/2".

Place the 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" squares in the upper
corners of the 2  3 1/2" x  3 1/2"squares.
Then sew diagonally (as shown above)
cut a 1/4" seam allowance.
Press corners up making a square.

Now you have your 4 blocks to make you Heart.
Sew blocks together.
Next, add 3 borders.
Border 1 - cut 1" strips
Border 2 - cut 3/4" strips
Border 3 - 2 1/2" strips
Trim squares after adding each border.
Then, trim square to 12 1/2".
Quilt and bind as desired.

I would love to see your quilts when finished.
Share your pictures of your quilts.  We all would love
to see the many different and exciting ways
you decide to do this project.
